IS THIS THE WORLD'S PEFECT WINE?

The 1910 Seppeltsfield (100 year old) PARA Vintage Tawny has just been awarded Australia’s only 100 point wine at the release of ‘The Age & The Sydney Morning Herald Good Wine Guide 2011” by Nick Stock.

.

Only one other wine made the pinnacle 100 points, the 1996 Krug Clos d’Ambonnay Champagne.

The 100 year old Seppeltsfield port has now received 3 ratings of 100/100 points, making it arguably the world’s perfect wine.  Previous perfect scores have been given by James Halliday (in fact James’ only ever 100 point Australian wine) and Robert Parker (The Wine Advocate). Jancis Robinson (UK) has also joined the chorus with a perfect 20/20.

Seppeltsfield Winemaker Sue Franke, graciously accepted the accolade stating that ‘even the accountants now have a smile on their faces given that the 100 year old PARA is the only wine in the world bottled after 100 years of maturation’.

She added “I received a phone call from Kelly Slater, World Surfing champion who having just received a perfect 10, congratulated Seppeltsfield on joining the world of perfect scores”.

You can order a maximum of one bottle out of the 667 bottles of 1910 PARA available in the world.  Purchase on line at http://www.seppeltsfield.com.au/ or by phoning (08) 8568 6217 or email cellarsales@seppeltsfield.com.au
