Recently we had a wonderful opportunity to have a professional tasting of our finest fortifieds with the great Valrhona chocolates at their home in Hermitage in France's Rhone Valley

Here are some of the pairings- notes in French I'm afraid, but you'll get the idea. Some amazing new flavours, particularly nuts, emerged from the pairings. The chocolates included some from Valrhona's single plantations in Africa and Latin America. They are best known for their amazing chocolate used by the world's finest chefs, but they also make wonderful consumer products. If you plan a visit to Tain L'Hermitage for the wine (including Kilikanoon's Hermitage Syrah!) you must not miss a visit to the Valrhona tasting centre, where you can sample these amazing chocolates.
