Seppeltsfield Clara Blanca - Amontillado is made from the palomino grape using a traditional Solera system. During the extended ageing process the protective flor is removed, accelerating maturation. The resulting wine gains a nutty complexity and a rich mid-palate whilst retaining a refined elegance and a dry, cleansing finish.
The Seppeltsfield DP 116 Barossa Valley Amontillado is the winner of 6 trophies and 55 gold medals in Australian Wine Shows since 1990.

Maturation
Matured using a traditional Solera system for an average of 16 years and in a similar manner to Fino Sherry. A protective flor covering is allowed to grow, which is later removed to allow the wine to develop intensity and rich depth of flavour.
Colour
Deep golden in colour with a light, olive-green tint.
Nose
Fruit aromas of mixed peel, nuts and honey combine with flor-yeast character and aged rancio in a lifted nose with impressive depth and complexity.
Palate
The palate is a classic expression of Amontillado, retaining the tangy vitality of Fino and adding a rich depth of flavour and aged rancio complexity. The wine has extraordinary length and finishes dry.
