Paramount XO Muscat

Seppeltsfield Wines are the proud custodians of a priceless collection of fortified wines spanning more than 150 years of winemaking excellence.

The Paramount Collection comprises the pinnacle of this achievement in each of the great fortified wine styles.

For nearly 140 years the Rutherglen region of north-eastern Victoria has been producing a unique style of Australian fortified wine; from Muscat and Muscadelle grapes (also known as Tokay in Australia) respectively.

The Hamilton Clydeside Cellars (est 1861) was Rutherglen’s first winery. It was acquired by the Seppelt family in 1914, adding a new dimension to the already half century old Seppeltsfield fortified wine brands. The Rutherglen arm of Seppelt lasted until 1983, when the old barrels were brought back to continue aging at Seppeltsfield. To this day we produce great fortified wines from Rutherglen, with each successive vintage adding to the cellars at Seppeltsfield.

Barrels of wine dating back to the 1960s have been blended with the finest Rare Muscat from many later vintages to create the Paramount Collection XO Muscat.

An extremely limited quantity will be released each year.
