The Village - Plan Your Visit...

In 1851 Joseph Seppelt, fleeing turmoil in his native Silesia purchased a beautiful property in the Barossa Valley, and in true Silesian fashion, named it after himself – Seppeltsfield.

He decided to plant vines. Thus was born the village you see today.

Over the years many activities and industries found a sympathetic home at Seppeltsfield.
Our vision is to see as many of these (and more) revived.

Our vision and passion is:
"To revive the Seppeltsfield Village based around the unique and irreplaceable Seppeltsfield fortified wine collection"

All actions should meet the guiding principle of "sympathetic development" in harmony with Joseph and Benno Seppelts’ original development.

There are also such lesser known garden areas such as the Pine Forest and the Elm Walk. Please take a leisurely stroll through these and the rest of the extensive grounds.
