The 2019 Seppeltsfield Barossa Moscato is crafted from the Muscat a Petit Grains Rouge varietal, grown in our Gomersal Vineyard on the region's Western ridge. Locally known as Brown Muscat, the variety has long been associated with Seppeltsfield's luscious and rich Victorian-sourced fortified Muscats. . Our small Barossa planting on red brown soils has also been traditionally used for fortified wine components. Recent modification of vineyard practices and harvest timing has, however, enabled this interpretation - a delicate, sparkling and perfumed Moscato.
Harvested at the optimal balance between Baumè and flavour, the Muscat fruit was then pneumatically pressed to yield free run juice of delicate flavour and softness. The wine was promptly finished and bottled to maintain freshness and vibrancy.
